1947 Tour de France

This is the only race from the 1940s where I have any items worthy of publishing ....  but more may turn up in time.

In 1947 Miroir Sprint published a set of 11 issues covering that year’s Tour de France. The printed photographs were not quite up to the standards of the 1950’s or 60’s - but then this was just a few years after the end of the war. Ex-army jeeps were being used for race officials and even film was in short supply....more
